Virtudesk at 7: Celebrating 2023 Milestones and Innovating for a Better Future

Celebrating 7 years of unwavering commitment to efficiency, productivity, and family, Virtudesk once again reunites for its annual year-end Thanksgiving party.

As the year closed in, the Virtudesk family eagerly anticipated the annual year-end gathering. This year’s destination was the beautiful town of Puerto Princesa on the island of Palawan, Philippines.

This year’s festivities not only mark the culmination of another fruitful year but also serve as a testament to the collective resilience and dedication of this close-knit family. The auspicious 7th year celebration also came with the announcement of highly-anticipated, new projects for Virtudesk in 2024.

The Road to Palawan

The year came with its unique set of challenges for everyone around the world. Talks of an economic downturn, political turbulence, and actual localized recessions in some industries posed a threat to the global outsourcing community.

With its inevitable benefits, however, outsourcing continued to thrive on a global scale. Combined with hard work from the Virtudesk family, 2023 turned out to be a year of wins, milestones, and tons of unwritten success stories from everyone.

Anticipation for the reunion began as soon as the announcement was released. Waves of excitement rushed amongst team members, resulting in immediate confirmations from almost everyone. 

The waiting game was tough, but as November came to an end, the excitement turned into an explosion of joy as the awaited day arrived.

Gathering with everyone at the airport was already a reward in itself. Everyone’s smiling faces giddy with excitement for the adventure and celebration that awaited was truly a joy to see.

The quick flight gave everyone in the Virtudesk family some opportunity to relax, catch up, and prepare for the night of partying and celebration awaiting at the island of Palawan.

Virtudesk Family Turns 7

From the island’s airport was a quick ride to the spectacular getaway hosted by Princesa Garden Island Resort. The property was a few steps away from the sea and welcomed everyone with a salty breeze that perfectly set the mood for a tropical adventure, relaxation, and celebration weekend.

The stage was set, everyone was dressed to the nine, and the passion for celebration was ablaze within everyone’s hearts. The stars light up the clear Palawan sky, and a permeating rhythm lets everyone know where to gather for the evening.

Amid a lush and vibrant tropical clearing was a banquet of mouthwatering dishes that perfectly paired with the celebratory vibe. The feasting began and so did the festivities.

The evening was filled with emotions that put smiles, tears, laughter, and so much more on everyone’s beautiful faces. Director of Operations Fatima Pablo commended everyone for a job well done, inspiring the Virtudesk family to push for greater heights, and had everyone cheering for the year that has been.

Performances and raffle prizes kept the night going. In light of celebrating milestones, everyone celebrating their fifth year as part of the Virtudesk family was honored for their steadfast commitment and dedication.

The stirring event inspired everyone else to follow in the honorees’ footsteps and pursue excellence just as the awardees did. The celebration was further enlivened by the top virtual assistants sharing their stories. 

The hurdles they had to face and the victories they were celebrating that night lit up everyone’s faces with inspiration and revelry all at once.

The evening was capped off with a moving commendation from Virtudesk CEO Pavel Stepanov, as breathtaking fireworks and electric music transformed the glamorous gala into a night of dancing and singing.

Virtudesk Takes Palawan

The next day had a lot of people toughing out hangovers during a bountiful and energetic breakfast. Everyone’s excitement was met with good weather at the docks of Puerto Princesa, where boats await everyone for a day under the salty sun of Palawan.

The Virtudesk family thoroughly enjoyed the blue waters of Puerto Princesa, Palawan, hopping from one island to another, and even having lunch by the waters of Cowrie island.

Picture you and your colleagues enjoying your hard work on hammocks by the beach, salty air, and unending tropical food. That was the Virtudesk family’s weekend in Palawan, Philippines.

Back from a day at the sea, everyone took the afternoon to recharge and refresh. Some were comfortably nestled in their rooms while others went for a swim or even connected with the surrounding nature. Most spent the afternoon reconnecting with friends-turned-family who normally they only see through webcams and on social media.

The day was capped off with more food as everyone gathered for a Filipino-themed dinner followed by more partying and dancing.

The following morning was well-spent again at the buffet with everyone enjoying their time with both old-time and newfound friends.

As it goes, all good things come to an end. After going to another bountiful feast for lunch, it was time to collect mementos to commemorate the amazing weekend that had been. 

Souvenir shopping was also a delight to everyone as they looked forward to bringing home local goodies to their main sources of motivation, their families.

What’s next? There’s no official announcement yet on the Virtudesk family’s next tropical destination, but what everyone’s sure of is that everyone’s headed to the top.
